What does AlbiMichi mean?

The name AlbiMichi is a blend of two words: "Albi" (short for Albion) and "Michi" (Japanese for road, path, or way). This represents our inspirations and heartfelt connection with Great Britain and Japan.

🏴 Albion is the ancient name for what we know today as Great Britain — hence the "Albi" of AlbiMichi.
🌤️ We aim to channel a bright and wholesome spirit of Albion through our Companions and World.
🤝 We envision this version of Albion through values shared with Japan (and the world!):
- • Harmony, politeness, and respect for others
- • Blending tradition with modernity
- • Mindful appreciation for small moments (like a nice cup of tea)
- • A love for all things cute, or "kawaii"

Michi

🗾 "Michi" is a Japanese word that literally translates to road, path, or way — but can also represent a lifelong journey, or a disciplined pursuit of self-improvement.
🌱 In our case, we aim to help you pursue your tasks and goals, improve your wellbeing, and build new habits — with motivation and joy, alongside a variety of newfound companions.

How did AlbiMichi start?

It all started when John finally made his first visit to Japan — something that had always been a childhood dream.

While there, he was inspired by the many mascots and cute designs that seemed to bring such joy and connection to everyday life: in shops, restaurants, on signs, and at tourist attractions. Some were even adored representatives of entire towns and cities!

John started thinking: why not bring that same spirit to our places and daily interactions at home?
